Membership

Here’s some notes about Hawks Track & Field membership.

  • Hawks Track & Field accepts members aged 13 years and over. Athletes under 13 are encouraged to join either Fairfield Athletic Club or Hinemoa Athletics Club.
  • Paying a full membership entitles you to participate in all club activities, as well as registering you with Athletics Waikato BOP and Athletics New Zealand to allow you to compete in Open Meetings, Classic Meetings, Waikato BOP Championships, Athletics NZ Championships, appearing in Athletics NZ official Ranking Lists, be selected in Athletics Waikato BOP and  New Zealand teams. It also means you are covered by Athletics NZ Insurance.
  • Ages are taken as at 31 December 2026.
  • If you have paid a Hawks Winter membership since 1 April 2026, you are already registered, but you will need to purchase a Summer Top-Up.
  • Registrations should be paid before you first compete at an Athletics Waikato-BOP meeting (the first one is 11 October).
  • If you are renewing your membership, whichever club you were a member of last season, please log in using your existing email address and if you need to, use “Forgot password”. Please don’t create a new profile.

News

We produce weekly newsletters during the summer Track & Field season to keep members up to date with club activities.
When you join the club you will be added to the newsletter database.
The newsletter provides upcoming details of events, recent events and general information about all that’s happening at Hamilton City Hawks.
We also produce less regular newsletters during the winter when we have any news we want to share.

Home Track and Clubrooms

Our home track is the fantastic Porritt Stadium, located  off Crosby Road near Chartwell, Hamilton. See further down this page for location map and photos.

Club Night Programmes

There are a wide variety of club events with our regular  Club Night programmes.
Keep up to date with club programme details in the club newsletter as sometimes the planned programme can change.

Club nights occur at Porritt Stadium every Wednesday 5:30pm – 7:30pm

Hawks Track Uniform

Where a Club Uniform must be worn
We encourage club members to wear Club Uniform at all regular Athletics Waikato-BOP Centre meetings.
Club Uniforms are compulsory at Waikato and Regional Champs and at any other major meetings such as the Athletics NZ Classic Series. Logos are now permitted on your uniform. Shorts must be black.

Where can you get a Club Uniform?
Uniforms can be purchased on Club Nights. They will usually be available 3 weeks after ordering if not in stock, so make sure you plan ahead. If you have any questions about uniforms please see Dianne Rodger on a Club Night, or phone her on 027 459 6467.
