Track & Field

Hawks Track and Field have a very proud history. Starting out as Hamilton Athletic Club in 1895, and celebrating it’s centenary in 1995, the club merged with Hamilton Harrier Club in 1998 to form Hamilton City Hawks.

The club won three National Athletics League titles in the 1970′s and finished a close second in 1995. As Hamilton City Hawks, the club won the National Teams Competition Division 1 title in 2006.

The Hawks regularly produce national champions in a wide range of events from secondary schools level up.

Hamilton’s international all-weather track is the summer base for the Hawks. Their Wednesday clubnights see members competing and training, while many training groups operate on the track at other times.

Hawks athletes won 26 individual national championship medals during the 2005/2006 season as well as winning the National Teams Competition.
